Palatinate hospitality in action! Excellent food, a lovely wine selection, friendly and attentive service, and absolutely child-friendly. If I could, I'd give it even more stars.

The Scheier is a hidden gem, a converted barn where old meets new. The food is delicious, and the tarte flambée is very well-topped. The wine is highly recommended. The staff are super friendly, and you feel very comfortable here.

We went there for dinner and were unfortunately disappointed. I had the Saumagen burger. It was essentially a slice of Saumagen with cabbage and bread, like anywhere else, only served as a burger. The taste was as expected, but the accompanying French fries were disappointing. This kind of convenience product made of very thin sticks is more of a snack food than suitable for a restaurant. One of the people at our table had a breaded schnitzel that was burnt on one side, and the other's meat was also rather overcooked. The salad was borderline sour. At least the staff was professional and didn't charge for the schnitzel, but overall, the service was unfortunately rather unambitious. A shame!

A beautifully converted barn. The menu has something for everyone. A good selection of wines from local wineries. Very friendly service.

A beautifully converted former barn. Rustic, yet stylish. The homemade cake alone is worth a visit. The extensive regional wine list is very inviting. The service is incredibly friendly. The entrance is a little hidden; I wouldn't have found it right away without a tip.
