Some of the best Birria tacos I've ever had. The food was delicious, I only got a chance to spend 1 day in Long Beach and I'm happy I got to try this place. It was a food truck parked outside of a shopping outlet and it was one of the only food trucks out there that actually had a line and I can see why it was totally worth the wait. The staff was friendly and the food came out really fast the meat was very tender 10... View all feedback.
What Ms Liz doesn't like about Pepe's Red Tacos:
I’m giving it 3 stars only bc food looks bomb but we drove all the way from Griffith Park and there was no truck. Please update your hours! Sucks to have your heart set oj some tacos and you find nothing at the location. View all feedback.
LOVEConvenient location near the Catalina Ferry terminal.Delicious carne asada quesi-tacos and birria. Really friendly employee.
Tried my very first torta in my life and my god I was astonished by such great taste. The birria tacos are to kill for. Nothing beats authentic Mexican truck food deep in East LA.
This place popped up on Yelp and had pretty good ratings so went to check it out after our visit to the aquarium. So I got to the food truck and there was no pricing anywhere. So I just went ahead and ordered two sample plates, a quesaDilla supposed to come with meat but I asked for it without it), carne asada fries and an agua Fresca. My total was $74!! I think that's a bit pricey but how was I suppose to know? Did they charge me the same for a quesadilla with the meat? Who knows? I didn't get a receipt. Took about 15 mins to get the food so we walked to the shopping area to eat. There were only 4 limes and no utensils. Had to walk back to get it. The birria was kind of dried and the fries were not bad. That was probably the best thing out of everything we got. All in all, would not go back again
DO NOT GET THE FRIES.Their truck was parked on the street in front of the Pike outlets, alongside other food trucks. It was nice to see the variety of options to choose from. We figured some fries with carne asada would be a good thing to share between two people. For $18, we immediately regretted our choice. The fries were topped with guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. However it seemed like sour cream fries more than anything. The biggest disappointment was the carne asada. The meat itself was nasty and chewy. We had to spit out some of the chucks as we ate it because of its texture. We didn't want them to go to waste because of how much we paid for them, but never again. We were bummed because of the positive reviews we had seen. What we experienced didn't match at all. The only positive was the short wait time to get our order, but that's about it. It was an unsatisfying meal.
Been craving a Mexican style bacon wrapped hot dog for a while. This was awesome. Quick friendly customer service. Delicious food ice cold Mexican Coke. Highly Recommended!!!!!
