Good food. Terrible service. Never could figure out exactly who my server was and whoever helped me got frustrated when I asked a question about the menu. Was brought my check, inquired about the service charge got told that it’s at every LA restaurant (as a service industry vet I know it’s not- I don’t blame my servers but they should be able to provide some kind of answer as to where that fee goes). What great little discovery! My wife and I were exploring DTLA on a sleepy rainy Sunday and happened upon this great sushi restaurant off of Santa Fe Ave in Downtown LA. The sign from the street read, “Happy Hour 3-6pm daily!”We stopped in to get the Mrs some tasty sushi.Kombu Sushi was a cozy bright fantastic surprise!Great fresh fish, chill atmosphere, and excellent service!We were given seared yellowtail sushi as well as lynchee mochi ice cream.They were so nice.We will definitely be back soon!
5 stars everything and great food they even let ur dogs inside! Would recommend and coming back again, happy hour is worth it as well from 3-6 try the best calamari you’ve ever had at this location!!!
Lunch special poke bowl was the perfect balance of salmon, avocado, and rice. Very nice to sit outside because you’re not on the Main Street. Definitely try their green tea cream…. It was beyond!
I recently had lunch at Kombu Sushi and had an amazing experience, Michael is the best! His customer service, attentiveness, and over all positive energy is why I keep coming back! The citron roll was delicious and bursting with flavor! The service as I mentioned was top-notch, with friendly staff who made sure our dining experience enjoyable. I highly recommend Kombu Sushi for anyone looking for great sushi and excellent service!
