If I could rate this place a 4.3 or 4.4 I would because that's right around where this place deserves. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, especially when you get to that sauce they put on it. Also, my chai latte tasted great with the added chai spice, but it wasn't anything mind blowing. The main reason why this place isn't higher up is just because of the location and size. In order to bring up a small place like... View all feedback.
What Alli Brinkerhoff doesn't like about Compelling Coffee Roasters:
Was really looking forward to enjoying my latte in the rain. They made it incorrectly and didn’t add vanilla even though I paid extra for it. By the time I realized it I was already almost home so a review is the only way I can feel justified. I was the only customer and they said it’s been super dead all day because of the rain so I was annoyed that they couldn’t make my latte correctly with 3 people working. There’... View all feedback.
Didn’t realize the Las Palmas Hotel across the street is the famous one from the “Pretty Woman” movie (Julie Roberts Richard Gere). The espresso here is good, so a latte will be quality here anytime. The guys here make a great sandwich, so try their food if hungry for a snack. Juice and fruit tea options are pretty good as well. It is a tiny space, so we sat streetside.
Couldn’t actually believe how cheap the coffee was for the quality. great atmosphere, nice baristas, awesome coffee

I do believe with my humble sagacious view, that this is one of the most coffee degrading shops in hollywood. What I have come through my experiencing with traveling that tourist areas, contains the lowest grade shops/services.With more details In support of what I just wrote, coffee was never on the correct extraction, many times its under or over extraction; “bitter or sour” flavor, which the least a coffee drinker would expect compared to the price the charge. I can tell a service of a shop in one try, I gave them more than once for the sake of struggling business, they proved to fail each time.I do know what I wrote will be helpful for compelling coffee to thrive and make things better for the future.Note “please smile”
Terrible service! The barista did not tighten the lid on my iced coffee. When I went to pick it up it dropped to the floor. I apologized, even though it really wasn’t my fault, but the barista glared at me and was. Visibly angry. He had zero customers and was sitting doing nothing when we entered. I started to help him and pick up the ice, he then barked at me “ma”m just stop” I went to complete payment as I was buying for my coworker and noticed he was not making me another drink. I asked for a replacement as I had just paid. He stated very rudely, Sure I’ll make you another one. This guy is in the wrong industry if a spilled coffee causes you to become that hostile. I remained respectful and kind the entire time because that’s who o am. To the owner of this coffee shop, your guy is rude and disrespectful. I’m a Nurse, needed a mid day pick me up, but certainly didn’t deserve to be treated this way.
