View all feedback.
What Silas doesn't like about De Gildenkammer:
The service was tried and okay. The map a disappointment. Under the heading Tapas, dishes with rubbing cake and black bread were probably more Rhineish than Spanish. The main court of Gildenkamer pan was assembled on a plate, from the Pilsrahmsosse standing on the map nothing to recognize and taste. The meat was also a few minutes too long in the pan more than dry and through. Just the open red wine for 6.80 euros a... View all feedback.
The occasion was an 80th birthday. The chef Mr Büren presented various menu proposals to us during the preliminary discussion. We then chose a 3-course menu. We were not disappointed. It was excellent. Starting with a greeting from the kitchen, the great appetizer and the excellent main course to the dessert. All well prepared. The table was very nicely covered for the occasion. A glass of champagne to receive before. Mr. Hoffmann, the restaurant manager, always had the right moment to serve. The ambience of the house helps to feel comfortable.
We fed on 03.09.11 with a group of 11 people from the entire federal territory in the restaurant. I have not heard a voice that expressed dissatisfied with food. We had to wait some time, but this is a good restaurant....no too long menu, some waiting time... then you can be sure that fresh ingredients were used. So was it. It was just the atmosphere. I can only recommend the restaurant and the kitchen
After some mixed experiences (mainly long waiting times, but also some high quality), “de Gildenkamer” has now become one of our absolute Lieblins restaurants.
We were with you on Saturday and I must say it made us great joy. We had to wait for the food for a while, but the service and quality made it good again. We have rarely eaten so well and the lady in the service was flotted and made every fun.
We have eaten for two in the middle of the day and are following our question of what is particularly and apart from the series, the recommendation of the cook: healed butter on spinach with a very tasty sauce and potatoes. No spectacular food, but crafted properly well, very tastefully dressed and especially fresh. The open wines are also recommended and have a good value for money. The historical ambience rounded off the successful lunch in this house.
