Leinster Tavern - Kalgoorlie

Always pleasantly surprised with the quality and value of the food at this place. Nice outdoor area, good selection of alcoholic beverages and brilliant pub food with a daily blackboard menu.

The road from Geraldton to Leinster cannot be described as overly interesting,it is also long some 640 km, there are few towns en route and little to see save the never ending outback. It was to be our turning point for the journey due south. Driving the route in our campervan we came across Leinster, its camp site and its Tavern. The super little camp site information sheet indicated that the Tavern was a fine place to eat. We walked the 200 metres from the site and arrived to find the place full of mine workers intently watching the final of the Big Bash, a major cricket match. The atmosphere was so good we opted to eat in the TV room, a large area with an equally large tv screen and a plentiful number of tables set up for the diner. There are three areas in which one can eat, the gardens, the bar area or the tv room. We were of course outsiders, 95 % of those within appeared to be from the mine but none the less the welcome was warm and friendly and the two fillet steaks absolutely first class in every respect. This is not fine dining but it is without doubt a restaurant that offers true value in a most unlikely location. The food was cooked to order, the service was excellent and the quality was as good as anywhere one may find. If passing through or better still if stopping over do try the Tavern you will leave contented, we certainly did!

Really nice place in a bite. delicious meal and friendly service for our lunch. walk away from the car park. a great sound.

We had a couple of meals here during our stay in leinster. excellent quality, presentation and quantity. for a remote location this bhp city is happy to have a restaurant tavern this quality

I had dinner there, they served the biggest steaks ever, all perfect, and at a very reasonable price. The staff was quick and friendly, couldn't ask for more.
