Fu Wah Chinese Restaurant and Takeaway

We were trying to decide where to eat after a disastrous first night here.Fu Wah was open and there seemed like s few people inside having dinner, so we thought "why not".The food was just fantastic We had wanton soupprawn cocktail Spring Rolls Singapore noodlesSpecial fried rice and garlic and ginger prawns Every single dish was cooked to perfection We highly recommend Fu Wah for dinner.

Typical Chinese cuisine which appears to have a high takeaway customer base. Was convenient to our accommodation and we were not disappointed with our menu choice.

The Fu Wah restaurant is conveniently located in relation to the Railway Hotel where a group of 13 of us stayed.The staff was more than happy for us to order in groups of 4 and a 5 and for each group to be billed separately. This is something many other restaurants fail to do.Orders were promptly taken and arrived quite soon after being placed.I can only comment on the dishes our sub-group received but there were no complaints from any of the 13 diners.Our group thoroughly enjoyed our meal with the Peking Duck, a well constructed omelette and the honey king prawns all receiving high praise. Travelers looking for an alternative to the usual "pub grub" available at hotels could find this establishment both convenient and obliging.

Food was first class! Service was a bit slack. It is BYO and if it was licensed, would be equal to 5 star. Needs a licence to sell liquor and more staff and would be packed every night! Food was sensational.

We had dinner there and the food was really lovely, and not that expensive. Service was very good and nice and clean
