Was Fermin Dickinson at Balcony Bar & Restaurant a mag?
Perhaps the best Pub food in Australia? Certainly better than anything in Perth or Fremantle..... Went without desert straight into the mains. The Reef Beef with Half a Crayfish was amazing. Perfect. 10/10. It cost $61 and was a winner. My wife who is a hard marker gave her chicken dish a strong 8. The desert was average compared to the mains. An average desert scoring 7/10. Better than most restaurants. I had pavlov... View all feedback.
What Sydni Gaylord dislikes about Balcony Bar & Restaurant:
Prices are average: kids meals $10 each, adult meals $30, with wine $150 for 5.The food was average but the chef is willing to accommodate food allergies. The service was ok. Just ok. The location was a disappointment. This place used to be the best restaurant in town. But now the balcony looks like a basic cafeteria,Too bad. View all feedback.

We saw the early bird special and thought we had a quick dinner before going up to the superpit lookout to see the grub in the evening. (the menu is limited, but somewhat cheaper than the night prices) the hotel itself is a beautiful building and the balcony has a beautiful atmosphere. I ordered the black bell that was absolutely amazing. the supplements were a perfect companion. I ordered a pina colada that was also delicious. hubbie has the chicken pasta and he enjoyed it. a little expensive when they get out of the normal menu, but eating was delicious!
Up here for work and dinner. no booking, but was made to feel welcome and wanted. with the 400 gram scotch filet, rare with blue cheese sauce. great choice steak was fantastic. some cold pints of rogers to wash it. even better than the steak was the service. friendly, on the earth (without being casual) and super helpful. hard to blame tonight. above average pub food.
Great eating had the palace trio, not disappointed! the cheesecake of the day also ordered for the desert and that was nicely designed. very satisfied.
What: A. Entree-spinach and ricotto ravioli-olives, spinach, pine nuts, tomato, basil butter. $22) B. Main-the palace trio-medallion beef eye fillet, lamb cutlet, pork belly with the following respective sauces mushroom sauce, minted hollandaise, caramel glaze. Mash potato and steamed julienne of vegetables. $45) C. Dessert-cheesecake of the day-passionfruit. $16) Review: Food- A. Well cooked pasta. Tomato based sauce overpowered the flavours of other ingredients. Too salty. B. Lamb tender, smoky and sharp hollandaise was the star of the plate. Beef overcooked. Pork dry, crackling didn't have the crackle. Vegetables token. Mash potato smooth. C. Best dish of the night. Passionfruit...read more
I definitely will go back to this restaurant. Even it's expensive it's totally worth it. The pasta and the steak is the hero here. No wonder many people suggested this place to me
The restaurant offers a range of meals with average prices but with the option to add wine for a higher bill. While the chef is accommodating to food allergies, the service was just okay and the location was disappointing. The food quality varied with some dishes being overpowered by certain flavors. One reviewer was dissatisfied with the level of service due to a language barrier issue and an additional charge for a mistake made by the restaurant. Despite this, others praised the venue for offering a cozy dining experience with good food and friendly waitstaff. The menu had a variety of delicious options but some felt the prices were a bit high. Overall, the restaurant was recommended for visitors to Kalgoorlie and for families looking for a nice dining experience.

The food was pretty terrible and everything was delivered to the table in the wrong order, however, the waitresses were gracious in their apologies and attempted to fix things for us, which was very much appreciated. Great location above town, great view of the sunset. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
First time here and I will definitely be back again, I had the best Thai beef salad I have ever had. The beef simply melted in my mouth and the salad was amazing. The staff are very professional and friendly and make you feel welcome. Please make sure you come and have a meal here you will not be disappointed.
This is one of the best restaurants in Kalgoorlie for sure. We tried quite a few venues when we were there but none of them came close to the Balcony Restaurant. Large variety of dishes that are very generously portioned from traditional pub dishes to a few asian influenced dishes too. The view overlooking the Main Street is superb, especially at sundown. While it is definitely one of the pricier places in Kal, it’s not unreasonable especially when you consider the quantity of food that you get too. Drinks are pretty standard price here and are readily available; the staff here were very helpful and allowed us to pick a table with the best view. If you’re in Kal then this must be on your list of places to eat. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
