Old Burdick's At Wings West - Kalamazoo

I was extremely disappointed after making a reservation on OpenTable for myself and my four grandchildren, only to arrive at the restaurant and be told that they were actually fully booked and didn't know why the reservation went through. I decided to leave and found another restaurant, Main Street Pub in Mattawan, which graciously welcomed our group and provided excellent service. Kudos to them!

I reserved a table to watch my son play hockey, eat dinner and have drinks. A table was never reserved, they were short staffed people waited an hour to have a drink order taken the manager waited on us. And now we find out that come high school hockey season you guys are not reserving tables. That will lead us to go ahead and eat dinner somewhere else and just go straight into the rink.

We were there for Mother’s Day. Food was great; good portions and good choices. Service was wonderful. Server did such a good job remembering whose food was whose; kept up with drink refills and she was very friendly. We were all very happy with the food and service.

I’ve had the shrimp tacos numerous times, unfortunately this time they weren’t very good. Pretty much just lettuce and shrimp. Good place to go and chat with others over dinner when it isn’t so crammed.
