What Davon Stoltenberg doesn't like about Bell's Eccentric Cafe:
Decent atmosphere. Alright beer. Nice outside garden. Fish and chips, no malt vinegar...fries like shoe string potatoes, hard and crunchy. Fish is a skin on fillet. Not so good. View all feedback.
This whole setup is top notch. Restaurant and taps inside, concert venue and flexible outdoor seating outside. Incredible beer all around, and they are booking fantastic acts. I just say I am biased on the last bit since the Mountain Goats are my favorite band, but honestly that's a pretty big pull for a brewery beer garden. The place can hold a huge crowd. They also had multiple places to grab a drink, accessible seating for those who didn't want to stand for the show, and excellent vibes overall.
We took a road trip to Kalamazoo to go to Bell's Eccentric Cafe, mainly because my husband needed to go to their store to get a gift for a friend. So we made it worth our while and went to the cafe for dinner. My husband had the burger of the week (bacon, jalapenos, cheese, and other things I can't remember). He declared it delicious. I had their house salad with chicken. I'm not a fan of goat cheese, which is one of its ingredients, so I swapped that out for cheddar, and had it with ranch dressing. It was quite yummy. I'm not a beer drinker, so I had water. My husband tried two of their cafe only beers, but I'm not sure which ones, to tell the truth. He liked one, but wasn't a huge fan of the second. But that's part of the fun of going and trying different ones. We had a good dinner and he got the gifts, so it was a fun and successful night out.
Me? ve wanted a very long call in Bell?s. I was glad. The staff was very friendly. I worked in a brewery when someone ordered a flight. However, guilty as hell your honor had served a beautiful flight with a real smile friendly words. We didn't eat. We saw some dishes that looked good. You have a back room event type area large enough for a worthy small concert hall. This night the Arena Rock Band or similar name (70?s 80?s Cover Band) was to be seen after a sold out show. I finished my flight with HopSlam. We visited the branch, got some execution, swing went happy. The industrial feeling of the area as well as being directly on the rail road tracks seemed so much cooler. FYI You like (at least when we log in) to get table, take the number on the table bring it to the counter, then the food is delivered to your table identified with your number. The good thing is that you do not have to wait with your beer until it is delivered.

This is beautiful place inside with a restaurant, a beer garden, beer patio, two bars and two stages for your enjoyment. The beer is phenomenal and they make plenty of different kinds to please even the fussiest beer drinker. I can't wait to come back and check out a concert in one of their stages while sipping on my favorite beer. The place doesn't look like anything from outside the parking lot, but once you walk inside you're in for a nice treat. The place has a medieval times and barn look on the inside. The staff is friendly and do their best at helping you pick your favorite beer. The management only allows them to let each customer taste a maximum of only two beers for free, which is unusual in the micro brewery industry. They also have a descent amount of bar food, but I only had the nachos. I was not impressed, the nachos were mostly corn chips with very little meat and cheese in them, not worth the money.
