Playa Azul Ii - Kalama

10 in our party all our foods were cold ....rice was raw and crunchy...cheese on my enchiladas was not even melted but their plates were super hot...the servers did not even bother to come back to see if needed anything my husband had to go look for the waitress...this used to be our stop but no longer time to stop at Longview at Don Pedros.

Always yummy! Whenever we go to Kalama we stop here. We're from south Texas and we like the food here.

This place has it all. A large family section in the restaurant area for those who prefer a quieter setting and a (local favorite) great bar atmosphere for folks who like to laugh and have a good time. I especially look forward to being served by my surly bartender. The margaritas are perfect. There isn’t a bad item on the menu.

Low key, laid back and super friendly. We love the food and staff. A few stand out options are the Mexican style relleno, chicken mole and the pork chile verde. Huge tequila selection with an excellent especial margarita. Give it a try, totally worth it.

Management would prefer not to have new customers. Please help them out and take your business elsewhere. The house rules, as they were explained to me by the surly bar matron, are that regular customers may make as much noise as they want, including curse words spoken loudly enough for everyone in the room to hear. Customers who are not regulars are not entitled to enjoy their meal in peace: the staff has demonstrated that they will defend the regular customers' rights to create as much noise as they please.
