There are lots of guesthouses and apartments in St Jakob but not a great deal of choice in terms of restaurants so booking is definitely advised as it gets quite busy. We travelled with family who have been to this area for years and recommended this restaurant. It was a great recommendation and we ate there 5 nights out of 7!! I think it is run by a husband/ wife team and they are very welcoming. The menu isn't particularly large but the food is delicious. There generally is one special in addition to the regular menu. Its traditional Austrian style. The pricing is average for the area and the portions a good large size for after a day on the slopes!! The deserts are lovely and pretty big though .... so save room!

Ende januar, when I finished a ski tour, my hotel owner proposed the gander and the authentic Austrian restaurant with authentic food. for the first time we met... read more Ende januar, when I finished a ski tour, my hotel owner proposed the gander and the authentic Austrian restaurant with authentic food. for the first time we met the owner jehle otmar. a friendly reception in the...door to a small but intimate restaurant. beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. eating was the best I had in st. anton. the personal was friendly and accentuated. after dinner we received a free snappes made by jehle himself. I would highly recommend this restaurant and a wonderful opportunity to finish our trip.
