I visited Kaikoura and needed lunch to take with me while whale watching. I stopped by Bee Box and was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered vegan crepes, sandwiches, and salad. Everything was very tasty!
The food was reasonably priced at 7 NZD for a spinach pancake with milk options available. We were searching for a place to enjoy a cup of tea, preferably with milk, and we were pleasantly surprised by what we found, along with a delightful variety of vegan flavors. We ordered a spinach crepe filled with cauliflower, black beans, salad, walnuts, and sun-dried tomatoes.
The staff are wonderful, the coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is inviting. The cakes and slices are fantastic. I really appreciate the inclusive environment. Thank you!
Great coffee!! Now that important fact has been stated, the cafe itself is cute, they have loads of honey and bee related products (as the name suggests and a decent selection of cabinet food. Staff were friendly and they have a few milk alternatives. (Why did I combine those two points in the same sentence? . Anyway, BeeBox is worth a visit if you're in Kaikoura!
