The food was excellent, and the friendly service really made us feel like we were dining with family. The portion sizes were appropriate for the prices, and we certainly left feeling satisfied. This was one of our first experiences with Hawaiian cuisine, and it did not disappoint. We ordered both beef and pork, and they were cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Poi By The Pound:
It was okay, the food was way to greassy. Also the chicken had pork flavor to it. Not sure if they are using the same oil for both chicken and pork. The Mac was great, I had the Loco moco the portion is large. I was not able to finish it. My wife had the Hawaiian plate and threw most of it away. View all feedback.
Beautiful house . super friendly waiter. kalua pork had better, but there are many possibilities to make it. terriyaki huh was delicious. nicely cooled place for local food.
Only 4 stars because I really wanted poi but they were completely out of stock. Disappointing but I would still recommend this location, I ordered chicken plate lunch with Mac salad and rice and the chicken was FIRE! I hope to return next time I go back to Maui. Highly recommended.
Came in with a big group and they were able to accommodate us. Wasn't that crowded here considering how close it is to the airport. Prices were on the slightly higher side but food came out as expected. Portions were decent too. The bbq ribs were on the dryer side but everything else was good. Friend thought the loco moco was underwhelming for it's price. My pork moco could've been better but we still enjoyed the meal.
We wanted to try Hawaiian food so drove from Lahaina. Totally worth it. We had Hawaiian plate and squid lulau. They ask you to order at the counter and seat you. Great service and great food. They are definitely serious about safe dining experience and used disposable plates and utensils.
