I discovered this restaurant on happycow a few years ago and have dined here on a couple of occasions. I recently visited again and wanted to share my updated review of Alive Well. The deli section offers a variety of options including a salad counter, hot food counter, prepared wraps and sushi rolls, and a made-to-order sandwich menu. While not everything is vegetarian, there are vegan choices available such as brow... View all feedback.
We spent a week in maui, and after alive and well we wanted to have reviewed it earlier. there were no tonne choices, but those who were available were the best quality we lubricated during our stay. the caffe was perfect for the exit, we often have prefabricated spring or summer rolls from the cooler, along with raw dips and wobble rings (the phenomenal were), and we also ordered from the Deli counter. the service was fast and friendly. we enjoyed the vegan potato salad, the raw caesar salat and nori packings. we also enjoyed the raw cake.
This is a cute little deli located within the Alive and Well Store. I ordered the vegan potato salad and three truffles made in-store. The potato salad was good, it's made with veganaise. The truffles are made in-house and were OK. There's something about them that I can't quite put my finger on that slightly detracts me. The truffle I liked best was in the form of a heart, but the others were good for one bite.
We grabbed some fantastic nori wraps from here on our way out of town. They have a great juice menu, too. Lots of fun vegan items and baked goods and chocolates. Not to be missed!
We spent a week in Maui, and after finding Alive and Well we wished we had checked it out sooner. There were not a ton of choices, but those that were available were the best quality we tasted during our stay. The cafe was perfect for take-out, we often grabbed pre-made spring or summer rolls from the cooler, along with raw dips and onion rings (which were phenomenal), and we also ordered from the deli counter. The service was fast and friendly. We especially enjoyed the vegan potato salad, raw kale Caesar salad, and nori wraps. We also enjoyed the raw pies.
The deli and juice bar offers a variety of vegan and organic options, ranging from cold kale or quinoa salad to hot options like the delicious vegan soup of the day (today's Italian lentil was fantastic) and cherry pebbles with potatoes, spinach, and coconut milk, as well as raw vegan desserts. All prepared foods are clearly labeled vegan, gluten-free, etc. and list all ingredients. They also offer green juices, smoothies, and a selection of health products in their market area. This place is perfect for grabbing a healthy meal before a long flight at the airport. I would have given them 5 stars, but unfortunately the app doesn't allow for it.
