Hawaiian Ice Cones - Kahaluu-Keauhou

I'm kind of bummed because I don't like to write negative reviews on places but it needs to be said. We went in this afternoon because I wanted a boba tea. It was busy, when we walked in the worker wasn't happy by her facial expression. Waited about 5 to 10 minutes because she was making previous orders. She came to take our order and I asked for a matcha green tea boba. She responded with my blender is dirty so I can't make it. I decided I didn't want to get anything else. She smiled and said sorry. I've worked customer service for 15 years. I would of washed the blender and made it for my customer. My attitude would be a lot different. As I always say if you're not happy with your job find another one. I live on this island and won't be returning back I'll just take the drive to town and go to swirl tea.

No good. Plenty of other places on the island that have better shave ice an WAY better service. There is one women here with dirty blonde hair that just hates her job and she lets you know it. They only make one item at a time but need to take all your orders at once so prepare to spend 30 minutes here even without a line. She is SLOW. Doesn't change gloves between touching cash, register and the ice you eat. I've gone at about 3x over the years because my family usually stops after shopping but that's enough we are done and never going back, go to gecko girls or my fav- Ululani's if you are willing to drive 15 minutes. I will say their boba is good (not great but good) and there aren't a ton of boba spots. But their shave ice doesn't have a lot of flavor, they don't put much on there and when I asked for ice cream I thought they forgot it. Barely had any. Really sad because I know this is someone's business and this one woman who is frequently working there is running it into the ground. I'd get better tasting toppings (not like fake sugar or leave them melting in the sun) and better staff. And I'd not expect to wait 35 minutes for my shave ice. Sorry to leave such a review but I know this is not the first someone has said this. It's just not acceptable

Just OK. I was looking for a delicious treat and there was hardly any ice cream in the whole thing (like 1Tablespoon). Watery flavor as well. I was told to try Scandinavian Shaved Ice and I didn't-wish I would've..

After grocery shopping today we thought we 'd stop in for some sweet treats. As we walked in to the shop we joined two other parties. One party had ordered and another party was just finishing up ordering. We were just getting ready to begin reading the menu board. I had no idea what I wanted yet so when the young lady asked if we were ready to order, my boyfriend explained that we weren 't at all ready and she could go ahead and get started the whatever orders she had to start on for the other parties. The last thing we wanted to do was have our inability to make up our mind in less a than a minute effect someone else. Well.... Little Miss working behind the counter closed her eyes, sighed real big like, opened her eyes and looked at my boyfriend and said I can 't do that. I have to make them all at the same time. I 'm sorry.... What? Hold up. You 're telling me you can 't make the orders you have in front of you while we decide what we want? You 're telling me that you are going to make these people wait for however long it takes me to make up my mind, to make their drinks or shaved ice? What if I decided, after 2-3 minutes that I didn 't want anything after all, and walked out? What if you began making their order and someone walked in? Are you going to stop making their order so that you can take the new order? Doubtful. I call BS. I don 't know exactly what the problem was... but we were just trying to be thoughtful to other visitors to the shop. If you wanna treat your clients like ****... I guess that 's fine, but we don 't have to partake. We left. We 'll find another shop to get our shaved ice at. There 's too many other places that treat visitors to the island well.

I simply adore this place. It is small, family-owned, and offers a wide assortment of frozen treats for a reasonable price. Service can be slow because everything is prepared to order, but I have never once been disappointed in the product. This place is a gem!
