probably the best unagi ever had, this is a very traditional Japanese restaurant! the whole menu is in Japanese, but in the round only serves aal. They can order it via the rice or separately, which on how many pieces of aal they want. from 1-4 pieces, only cash and take-off is also available. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sueyoshi:
First time I ate unagi. I thought it would be a firm white meat, like fish. But it is not. It is very soft because it is too greasy. Also, the condiments they use make it sweet. I don't like sweet food. View all feedback.
Best unagi (eel) never, soft and fluffy meat not chew. the sauce was good. no English menu. but some of the service staff can manage simple English for ordering. easy to identify with its signage and wooden benches outside of it.
Love its unagi/ eel rice set. Remember to order the box set which serves the fried eel and rice separately. The eel are more crispy this way and taste better.
Ordered the unadon (katsu). Unagi was really good. This unagi was actually roasted till crispy, which gave a great texture contrast between the rich fatty meat and the crispy savoury exterior. Better than most unagi s I’ve tried here (usually not crispy). Matsu has four pieces of unagi, two piece hidden within the rice. The rice itself was flavoured with a light savoury sauce the whole way through. It came with pickles and a unagi miso soup. Definitely not cheap (around 2500), but very worth it for the amount of unagi you are getting. If you’re on a budget you can try getting the smaller versions.
Traditional unagi place. A bit expensive but definitely price for value. Local Japanese went there as well. You can either sit at the table or sit on the floor as local.
