There's not much to say except that this restaurant is simply phenomenal. It is clear that Monica has learned from Michel Roux Jr, but she has managed to create a culinary experience that surpasses her teacher in many aspects. What Anonym dislikes about Mere:
The cocktails were the best thing at the restaurant followed closely by the cheddar tart. I am not saying the food was bad, just surprising average given the very limited menu and celebrity chef involvement. Also it was my husbands birthday, which they were notified of in advance, and apart from a happy birthday greeting at the door… nothing. Had such a lovely meal here, wonderful staff and amazing food. Worth every penny, will be booking again. The tasting menu built with each course and the food was wonderful and light.
We went here for a celebratory meal and what a wonderful experience we had! The food was beautifully presented and deliciously cooked. The service was amazing and we got many very helpful recommendations. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be looking to visit again in the near future, hopefully being able to meet Monica next time as well!
A foodies heaven. Warm welcome, superb service, passionate team and a menu which leaves you struggling to decide what to eat... so you just have to keep going back.
Beautiful restaurant. The mixologist at the bar, Adam, was a walking encyclopedia of drinks knowledge, and made fantastic cocktails. The food was absolutely stunning one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough.
Awesome food, location and staff. We had the Vegan Tasting menu where everything was of great quality but can thoroughly recommend the 2 deserts. Also add the Kopke with the deserts and that's a lovely finish to lunch ?

From the initial greeting to having the privilege of meeting with Monica the experience was amazing! The quality of the food and service was excellent and we just loved everything on the tasting menu.

Our trip to Mere was first class. The staff were very polite and attentive without being overbearing. The ambience very relaxed. The food was exceptional, our table choose the taster menu which had some great dishes, my favourite was the venison which was cooked to perfection. All in all a top night and to cap it off we were lucky enough to meet Monica. What a lovely lady!
