Uncle Bobo's - Kaaawa

A week in oahu and this inconceivable little restaurant is my absolute favourite dinner that I had all week! order online and prepare for a waiting period (worth it! I have the ahi tacos and ginger limonade (complete, not too sweet). we took our food right across the street so we have a beach view picnic (swanzy beach park.)

Eating was so good that we have to breathe in and forget to make photos. sweet fam in the possession of japanese meets cajun and south inspired dishes. bbq was sold out so that we had the Greek salat w/falafel fresh pita with hummus tzatziki, chicken catsu, ahi katsu, 2 smoothies. everything served with greens from own garden and so fresh! in the inner was closed bc by covid, but we could eat at the outside table. have loved every court we have and would stop here again!

If I could give more stars, I would do that! the customer service and the real care about everything were cordial to watch and experience! we did not eat bbq for which they are known, but every single product we ordered was amazing! I can't imagine how wonderful her bbq is! the vegetables that they use for the salat and the auberginenkatsu are all grown at home. the children shared a chicken cat, but we had to order another one because both wanted more! I'm not trying to eat too much meat. So I ordered the auberginenkatsu and falafelsalat. beautiful that I did it since hubby the half of both ate, along with all his ahi katsu bowl. I know how ur thinks, everything they ordered was fried. has not even thought about the order, but they often have to change their oil because everything was clean tasting. again, amazing! so very happy we decided to stop and eat here. will we make this drive happy to eat here again?

Fantastic unassuming place for a meal especially on the go. We were looking for an easy place to grab some food en route to the north shore and found Uncle Bobo’s, deciding to stop because of location, menu, and ratings. What a great find. Generous portions, freshly made, and great taste. Side salad with the meal was one of the freshest we’ve ever had. Ordering online was super easy and contact was great with confirmation when ready. Came right out to the car as we pulled up so we could head off for the day. Obvious they take great pride in what they do. Glad we found this place otherwise could have overlooked it driving by. Highly recommend!

Looks inconspicuous but the food is amazing. Probably one of my favorite meals on the island. They grow their own eggplants/aubergine and the rice dish with it is fantastic. Suitable for vegans too if you skip the salad dressing. Also had a smoothie and coffee all great.
