I just learn about Bread by Johnny. I am from California and sourdough bread is our specialty up north. I have to tell you. The best bread we ever had since we moved to Florida. Please make sure there store and enjoye slice of bread.
Your reputation in Jupiter has been tarnished to the point where it no longer matters how good your product is. The only reason customers accept your bread is because the workers are tirelessly toiling without a break. Johnny may be the face of the business, but it is the workers he exploits and the oblivious parents who fund it that truly make the bread. It's not "bread by Johnny", it's bread by those he takes advantage of, with neither Johnny nor the parents having any real understanding of what goes on as long as they receive their profits. If this criticism hurts or angers you, it should, as you are failing to see the real issue at hand.
We have searched all over the Palm Beach area for French bread like they have in France. We were thrilled to discover Johnny's bakery, where the baguettes are exceptional, as well as the fig and walnut bread and brioches. I am willing to drive 35 minutes to get these breads, and they also freeze beautifully.
