Cute spot. Server was really nice. Wish their coffee machine worked. They do have a good selection for Tea though. Also it's a Mexican restaurant now. Tacos were surprisingly good. View all feedback.

My husband and I ate breakfast here yesterday at 10:00. the food was good, we left watching the surley Hispanic young man, Andrew I believe, bus the table we ate at outside. later in the day after we were in Bishop, my husband realized he left his wallet there. I called and Andrew said he had my husbands wallet. this morning he drove back to June Lake to get his wallet. the cash was all gone and this worker told my husband a customer brought the wallet to him. this was a lie because there were no other customers when we left. hopefully Karma bites this guy in the butt. we left with a bad taste about June Lake and definitely will not ever eat here again.
Judy and Layla (her wonderful golden retriever! were a warm welcome when my film crew and I came through in need of some java and breakfast. She kindly let me take, basically, two jugs of her coffee for my 20 cold crew mates first thing in the AM. She also made breakfast burritos for us which were an excellent start to our day. Mornings weren't complete without getting our coffee and breakfast from Trout Town. Will be back again soon! Such an incredible local joint! Am so happy to see that places like this still exist.
Found a metal staple cooked into the egg inside the breakfast burrito I ordered. And, the staff completely forgot the order of my friend. Nope, never coming back.
I arrived at 8AM and ordered a cup of light roast coffee. The coffee was fresh and flavorful. The owners were off to the races and they were ramping up for the day. There was nice music playing in the background and the staff was pleasant. Nice place to eat and enjoy some coffee to start your mountain day. Check them out!!
I will probably end up lowering this rating even more, if I return. Really disappointing change in ownership. ALL of the Eastern Sierra vintage feeling is gone. Now it 's just white plastic party tables with no decorations except for some really cheap Mexican/Southwestern style streamers from the ceiling. The little backroom with the couch and TV is gone. It looks more like a hospital cafeteria now. The drink menu is very, very short and there is no food. They 've been working on their kitchen for months. Staff was unfriendly and has this aloof June Lake residents only vibe. I could tell the cashier was bothered that I was there. I was the only customer. I walked in and he was in the back and had to come out. Unfriendly and monotone. Then a local walked in and his demeanor completely changed. I live in Mammoth, I get it. Out of towners can be incredibly annoying... but let 's face it... you have no business and have ruined what was once a great place, so drop the attitude. The coffee was fine, but I might try the place across the street even if it isn 't a coffeehouse. Unless this place drops the attitude, redecorates and/or has amazing Mexican food, it isn 't going to last.
