I wasn't disappointed at all! Everything was fantastic! Definitely worth a stop.
The staff was polite and very accommodating, creating a lovely vintage atmosphere. The chicken fried steak was outstanding, with even the breading being absolutely drool-worthy. The hamburger steak was also incredibly delicious. Although I usually don't like gravy, I found myself enjoying every last bit of the gravy they served – it was that good! Their yeast rolls were fluffy and had a homemade taste, as if they had just come out of the oven. And the fries, oh my goodness, were truly amazing – they looked and tasted like REAL fries, not something straight out of a bag. Honestly, the fries alone won me over completely!
This restaurant provided a truly unique experience. After a long day on the road, I stopped in for lunch, not expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's charm. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. To top it off, there was a delightful little gift shop featuring candies and handmade jewelry.
Stopped here on a road trip coming back from San Antonio, good food and most of the meals come with your choice of salad bar or soup. Big portions and very tasty.
Well, this might be the only vegan-possible place in Junction. If you are okay with a salad with limited choices, this it it. A lot of the salad bar items are non-vegan, so I had to skip them. There was no quinoa, beans, sprouts, or significant sources of plant protein in the bar. The salad was better than the DQ salad, which set a low bar. I don't know. Maybe the waitress was tired. She seemed kind of busy and not looking to talk. When I asked for baked potato, she said they were out. End sentence. She didn't offer any other ideas or sympathy. I guess it seemed cold. Towards the end of the meal she got slightly friendlier when my dad was trying to strike chit chat. The salad bar was also pretty dark. I guess they want to hide the food in the dark? It could use some more lights. The bath tub as the base of the bar was neat. My dad seemed happy with his meal.
Located in Junction, this restaurant offers a blend of hearty meals and comforting vibes. While the salad bar could use more vegan options, diners rave about the chicken fried steak, generous portions, and amiable service. Breakfast classics shine, featuring perfectly cooked steak and flavorful omelets. Customers appreciate the friendly staff and unique décor, along with the regional charm. However, some items might run out, so be prepared to be flexible with choices. Overall, it’s a satisfying pitstop for both road trippers and local diners craving good food.

Lunch on a road trip to El Paso. I had cheeseburgers there with fries and tea. My wife had the salad bar. The staff was friendly and prompt. Food was good land cooking. The burger was moist and well seasoned. Fries were good land cuts homestyleries. My wife had a piece of chocolate cake to finish it. Good old fashion country style cakes. If you want to cook good land, this is the place.
Ordered a 3 egg ranchers omelet, which was delicious, and a sirloin medium rare. The steak was okay, not grilled, cooked in a wine or something, it wasn't too bad. Super cool staff!
Eat here the second time. The first time we had breakfast and it was good. Today we had the daily lunch special. It was homemade meat loaf, potatoes, roasted Okra and a dinner roll. It also came with your choice of soup or salad bar. I enjoyed the beef soup and my husband had the salad. Everything was very tasty and well flavored. The fried okra was beautiful, since crispy dinner roll was wonderfully soft. I was satisfied filled, but the lunch special did not end there also dessert included
The food was incredible, and the salad bar is the best I've encountered in a long time. The service was excellent. I really appreciate restaurants that maintain that warm, hometown Southern vibe, and this place hit the mark perfectly.
I started with the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and they were both delicious and generously portioned. Be sure to go with friends so you can share! I ordered the cheeseburger, while my husband had the chicken fried steak. Both dishes were fantastic! He was particularly fond of the homemade gravy. I was hoping to try the cobbler, but unfortunately, they had run out. We will definitely be returning to Isaacks!

Vegetarian options: Basically, the salad bar and baked potato are your choices, leaving off the meat.

The staff completely overlooked us, so we decided to leave. Additionally, none of the employees were wearing masks.
