Funtime Cafe - Joshua
Funtime Cafe
Description
Brightly renovated and family-friendly, CW’s (formerly Fun Time Cafe) serves generous, well-executed Tex‑Mex and comfort classics—standout ribs that fall off the bone, cheesy enchiladas, pattie-melt burritos, chicken-fried steak, and a hot brownie sundae. Service is attentive and owner-driven, with homemade salsa and a varied menu suitable for breakfast through dinner. Tucked on the outskirts of Joshua and featured on Restaurant Impossible, it’s worth the drive for flavor, value and a welcoming atmosphere.

See this place on restaurant Impossible and drove over an hour to try. From now on, the name on the outside and on all social media still says “Fun Time Cafe”, but the interior and menus say “CW’s”. You go into a wall that reminds of Robert Irvine's time. And the decor looks bright, clean and colorful everywhere. We ordered the Patty Melt Burrito and the Pork Ribs. Both tasted good and were well cooked, but the ribs were easy the star of the show! Wow! They fell out of the bone and burst with taste. Mixed with the pineapple, it was even better. The staff was also friendly and friendly. They're gonna make you just get into their demon. They can say they are proud of their work. It was a fun, rewarding trip with my daughter! Cool experience.
We made a side trip because of the restaurant impossibility followed and loved it. Hubby had the ribs and I had the chicken sandwich that both were delicious. Excellent employees who do not hesitate to refill drinks and check for us. We also have to chat with the beautiful owner, Wayne about the episode. If we lived nearby, we would be regular.
The waitress was fantastic! The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. The food was excellent and well worth the price. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, offering suggestions and sharing some background information about the restaurant. The menu had something for everyone; my daughter enjoyed enchiladas, my son had breakfast, and I had the best roasted chicken I've ever tasted!
Don’t let the name "Fun Time Cafe" mislead you; this place is truly amazing for Tex-Mex cuisine and Chicken Fried Steak. I ordered the Carmen Plate, which featured two delicious cheesy chicken enchiladas, two tasty beef tacos with all the fixings, Spanish rice, and refried beans. Don’t hesitate to add their homemade salsa; it enhances the flavors beautifully. For dessert, I indulged in the hot brownie sundae, and it was absolutely divine—so good, in fact, that you won’t want to miss it. The service was excellent and attentive, making for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Although this gem is somewhat tucked away on the outskirts of Joshua, it's definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed!
