This 1920s lodge is wonderful. The floors creak and the rooms are small but that is part of the back to the past charm. The grounds are beautiful and the staff couldn’t be nicer. It is a truly charming place that we hope to return to. View all feedback.
What D Randall Terhune doesn't like about Wallowa Lake Lodge:
Front desk staff, especially, was very unprofessional. When checking out, “Thanks a bunch.” what is the best he could manage. Seem very distracted at all times. Other hotel staff seemed like they were just spending their time and not very happy with what they were doing. View all feedback.
Interesting 100 year old lodge by the lake. Beautiful grounds with a beer garden.
1st time staying inside lodge, I have stayed in a cabin at Wallowa Lake years ago. Cabins are more our style. Room felt sterile, not rustic, which is the way I pictured 100 year old lodge rooms to be. The lodge is beautiful and is very comfortable.

Charming lodge in beautiful setting. Lake is near the property, river runs through it. Deer graze in the backyard and minge with the people. Room we had was top floor, very cramped. Lots of stairs. Great music on the deck both friday and saturday nights. Food is OK at hotel, better across the street. Sitting on the deck with a few beers and dinner is great, especially with the music. Very close to state park, walking distance and to the tramway, minuture golf. Need to drive into Joseph for better dinning options and artistic gallery musing.
I loved visiting the lodge after its renovations. This year marks their 100th anniversary! We had a great time sitting on the deck out back, where we were treated to the sight of a doe with her twin fawns. While we were there, they also had live music one night from a local sister duo called Calico Bones. We relaxed on the lawn and thoroughly enjoyed their performance.
