I've dined at this Orient-Express several times and typically haven't had any complaints. However, the order I received today was absolutely disgusting. The rice was overly pasty and gummy, and the chicken was hard to describe. Some pieces were so dry that I could barely chew them, and the sesame sauce tasted overcooked. The Crab Rangoons were somewhat acceptable, but overall, it was a complete disappointment. This isn't typical of my usual experience there, or I would never have spent $20 on such subpar food.
Great food and pleasant people
The cashew chicken was dry fried chicken pieces with delicious cashews and you can pour the sauce on yourself. This was my first time getting cashew chicken. The sauce was basically salty brown gravy. The rice was fragrant and filling. The egg rolls were fresh and crunchy. Altogether not bad but not really my cup of tea/gravy.
This restaurant has always been the best place for Chinese food. I've traveled all over the country, and nothing else has come even close to its quality.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The rice was undercooked, and the sesame chicken was tough with raw batter inside—completely lacking flavor. The chicken tasted old and seemed pre-cooked, as if they didn't know how to prepare it properly. While the staff was friendly, they seemed more focused on getting paid and encouraging tips rather than ensuring the quality of the food. It felt like no one was truly concerned about the meal.
