Maria's Mexican Grill Cantina - Joplin

Was the worst Mexican food we've ever eaten was the same thing we ordered in many other Mexican places running around 32 for 2 people, the same was almost 44 in front of the top. The food had no taste, I ordered a simple salad, only salad, 2 small tomatoes, cucumber slices and 4 slices avocado, the worst Ranch dressing I had ever had, was loaded as if there were shrimps on it, asked about it, he said we have no simple salads, so I gave you a little more salad. It was very little. It's not the money for what they have. If I realized it was the Maria who was on the 32. St. was, I would have stopped it. I've heard bad reviews for 30 years. They were polite and stayed on the top of the drinks napkins and the table side Guacamole was good. I had the beef Fajitas dinner it was a lot of food the meat was seasoned and juicy and the rice was ok. I'd skip the beans. We were definitely checked and everything quickly came 4 stars for service and food .

The price vs quality of food alone was enough to never let me come back. I support many Mexican places from the Fajitas, they are my favorite! The $18) Steak Fajitas I ordered where strips like Del Rio, which I don't fange either. She, where almost impossible to chew, I had to spit my food several times, the chicken my fiancé had ordered, had a bizarre taste, almost like cans of chicken. The frozen mango margarita was served in a hot glass, it began to melt quickly, and the taste of lime made up the whole drink, mango was on the ground of it. I ordered queso, which was quite good, a little lacked in taste, and expensive $8). Next time I will stay at the Steakhaus on the street or Mi Toritos in Carl, definitely worth the ride there. I hope this helps to make things better in the institution, it would hate to go a business, but it must be a change!

We had our sister in law's birthday party there, and the food was so delicious and the waitress was very nice and attentive. Will definitely return

Seating was readily available. The waitress was patient and attentive throughout the meal. The salsas were fresh and delicious. I found the mild and hot combined for and excellent flavor and spice level. I found the hot salsa to be more of a medium plus in heat and stood on its own. The chili enchilada sauce was wonderful with a nice smokey flavor. The refried beans had a smooth consistency and the rice complimented the rest of the meal. This was my first visit to Maria's but I will be back.
