A cool local joint on the way to Lago Vista. Friends of ours recommended that if we were in the area to stop in as this is their hood hangout. Nothing fancy here nice little bar with a pool table and a few TVs. On a lazy Sunday afternoon, they were pretty empty but I 've heard that on their steak or taco nights it gets busy. They also have a stage for live music and according to our bartender, it can get crazy. Servi... View all feedback.
What Don S doesn't like about Rumi's Tavern:
This place has wonderful bartenders but is just ok in terms of enjoyment. They have a pool table and a golden tee golf game but its a bit pricey on wine and cocktails. Also one good thing is that you can order food from across the road but dont expect this to be the best place to watch a game. Nice place to go when the right band is playing other than that I usually head elsewhere. View all feedback.
Good drink selection and friendly staff in my experience. Denny was talkative and kind, and the regulars I spoke to were also nice. I hope to go back again soon.
Friendliest Staff and very Cool Vibe! We have been to Rumis since the first month that they opened. We have watch them grown and expand. It just keeps getting better Better! They have Live music and Always pick such Great bands!

Bad review goes to the bar tender (blond short hair) and her friend for cutting us off and demanding tip. They showed my party of 5 tension and confusion and stopped serving us alcohol at midnight- basically felt like we got kicked out. First time here and for the first couple hours friends and I were having a great time! Music was good and pool game was fun. Around midnight bartenders friend started speaking Spanish (not sure if she knew we spoke English) saying that we were being rude because we were not tipping the bar tender. I stepped in and addressed the bar tender directly and asked if there was a problem. She stated we were asking several rounds and not tipping and that we left her only 14cents. We proceeded to explain that we have not left or finished our tab and we're planning to leave a tip. She got aggressive in her voice and kept complaining that we were not tipping. We decided to give her $25 tip and told her we didn't want any issues and thought she did great in serving but was out of line demanding tip and cutting us off because of not tipping. I have never seen that from a bartender in my life. Her friend well, she acted like the instigator in the whole situation. Very disappointed in this experience when the venue and other customers were such a a great time.
My husband and I were on our way home from the lake and decided to stop for dinner. We went on a Saturday night around 7:00P. Not a lot of parking but found a spot easily enough. It definitely has a fun tavern vibe! Pool table. Music. We did feel like it's a place where locals frequent, kind of got looks like Who are you? Not bad looks! You seat yourself and order at the bar. We got the side of fried garlic with toast. It wasn't bad but I didn't particularly care for it. My husband enjoyed it! It's exactly as it sounds. We just HAD to try it. I got the Beef Dip Sandwich. Very good! I'd order it again! Food and drinks are priced wonderfully!
