MyGrain Brewing Company - Joliet

Really enjoyed my visit here. I had lunch and a drink. I will definitely visit again! Ended up purchasing 3 crowlers to take home for myself and friends.

The beers were excellent and the food was delicious. It was a bit expensive and there was no kids menu (just share an adult meal for the kids), but everything was very good. The service was a bit disorganized for a slow Tuesday evening, but not terrible. I tried all the dark beers - the Russian Imperial was a smooth chocolate delight and the stouts were well-flavored and light. The Sowwy was a bit intense, but had a nice lemonade aftertaste. Overall, it was a good experience, but a bit pricey for a weekly family outing.

This restaurant is a hidden gem with its own on-site brewery. The beer selection is impressive, but I opted for a classic old fashioned cocktail which did not disappoint. I also tried the my grain burger and it was outstanding - the patty was freshly made to order and topped with delicious bacon jam and blue cheese. The portion sizes are generous, so you won't leave hungry. While the menu isn't extensive, the appetizers and entrees are made with high-quality ingredients. I will definitely make a point to visit again if I'm in the area.

I haven't returned to this restaurant since the pandemic began two years ago, but I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the burgers. I tried the MyGrain burger and the Spicy Vincent with fries, and they were both amazing. The flavors were outstanding, especially the mango habanero sauce. I highly recommend this gem in Joliet. The staff is kind, and it's nice that the restaurant is family-friendly despite serving alcohol. They even have Nickelodeon playing on the TV at the bar, which is a cool touch.
