Super cool little place. We stopped here because the logo on the sign was so cool. The bartender was amazing. We happened to be the only ones there for awhile and she told us all about the brewery, some local artist, and the city. The beer was good, conversation was great and loved the logo so much we purchased several pieces of merchandise. Wish they still carried Tagabrew, but was overall a great experience. Would... What Vince Szymczak doesn't like about Elder Brewing Co.:
Was just there at 6:15 PM and it was CLOSED. Don’t know if it is just a one time issue or if it’s closed for good. Google says it’s open and during regular business hours View all feedback.

Super cool brewery! They've got board games, different events, and free popcorn. Loved the pinball machines, but the Metallica one will happily cuss you out, so watch out with your kids! The cream ale is very light and refreshing, the Uncle Jack's Gris Gris is one of their best sellers, and they've got other fun options too. Sadly, The Regressor was sold out, but keep an eye out for other barrel aged options!
Went to Elder Breing last night for a punk/metal music event. Great people, super friendly and outgoing staff. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. Great drinks, not much food but we're kind enough to give food recommendations Imin the area and let you bring outside food in. Overall one of the best nights of my life. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Another good brewery in Joliet with a quieter atmosphere. Elder Brewing has a small but good selection with some variety of flavors and styles. It has quite a few for not having that many of these. Has live music and events. The place is a lot more livelier at times. It kind of feels like someone's garage because it's a small bar and intimate. Pretty casual place to hang out. There's not enough room for many people. Keeps it from getting too busy. They can get big crowds but not often. I like the Yesterday's Ghost. It's $6 for a pint. This is a smooth and refreshing saison. Even though it's a small place it still manages to have a good amount of different styles to choose from. They offer smaller pours so you won't have to pay as much to try a lot. Good place to check out if you have to get away from crowds. It has fun entertainment like older movies on TV when there's no games on. The place is kind of hard to find but that's something keeping this from getting full of hipsters standing around and talking.
