First time visiting a Hyvee Express and noticed they somewhat took over gas stations in urbandale area at first was a little against the idea but WOW I love this station. Actually as normal as possible food to buy and fresh fruit too! It's a mini hyvee restaurant so I m impressed with what they have done View all feedback.

After they took the payment, when the driver shows up we get a call that they could not complete our order. Pretty unprofessional that the order had been placed at least 30 minutes before we got a call. And then we got a 2nd call saying they are remaking the entire order. Then the order we received was not warm or correct. My burger was still uncooked. What a joke, do not order for delivery from here ever! View all feedback.

It wasn't very clean and reminded me more of a gas station with a gas station bathroom.
I cannot recommend enough to avoid this Hy-Vee and just go to fareway down the street. I’ve been here on multiple occasions where the self check out registers do not work. When you put items in your bag the register says you’ve added more than what was scanned when not the case then asks for a manager to approve. This isn’t the problem though, the problem is there’s literally no managers or team members in the front of the store to help. You have to spend 10 minutes running around the store to ask someone for help when you used self check out in the first place to save time. Successfully spent more time trying to check out than even getting my grocery’s and ended up having to just use a different register and rescan all my items -10/10 recommend.
My first time here I came with my fiance. No one greeted or seated us so we sat ourselves, we thought maybe that was the expectation but didn't see any signs indicating either way. We waited almost 15 minutes for a server to acknowledge us and give us menus. She was great and the food was good, but my hash browns were unpleasantly salty. Decided to try it again today for a late lunch with my 9 year old. Again, we seated ourselves but not an employee in sight to help us or even waive down. This time we just left after 5 minutes and won't be back to this location.
