I was there for the music. I like to hear the billy crawford band. this place is only a few minutes walk from my house so that the parking space is not a problem. I didn't eat this time, just hot tea. it took one because for us to get it and order it. it was very busy. View all feedback.
What Ruth Hennessy doesn't like about Down Home:
Not even sure it is still open, off the beaten path in a shadey area. No hours posted even though it said open in Google search. We were looking for some bluegrass and an old town feel but did not make it inside. Judging by the out side, I 'd say, go somewhere else. Wish I could have seen it inside and gave a better review. DownHome is a special music venue with professional musicians who know their Blue Grass Music
This restaurant made you feel like you were in a fancy establishment, yet it was very cozy and welcoming.
Although I may be biased because my husband (Jimmy) bartends there sometimes, I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is fantastic, the music is amazing, and the food is delicious. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is definitely the most intimate venue in the area.
This restaurant is often referred to as a hidden gem, but it really shouldn't be hidden. More people need to know about this incredible place for live music. From the owner, Ed, down to the rest of the staff, it's an amazing venue with a great atmosphere to enjoy live music. They also offer a delicious Tex-Mex menu. I highly recommend checking it out.
I adore this restaurant! I used to come here with my mother when I was younger, and I still make sure to visit whenever I am in town.
