Such a neat place to have in JC. Really glad we stopped in today for the first time!We ordered the country sandwich, churro beignets, and a matcha tea. ?All fresh made to order and so good! Would definitely return!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, no changing table in bathroom, but did have high chairs and a huge chalkboard for kids to draw on View all feedback.
Bebettes is my favorite place to go for breakfast on my days off. It's conveniently located just a 5 minute walk from my home in the Tree Streets. I always order the classic beignets and a coffee, which never disappoints. The restaurant also offers free wifi and has a cozy, cottagecore-inspired atmosphere with plenty of succulents and natural light. The staff, especially Ireland and Autumn, are friendly and welcoming. Don't be hesitant, give it a try!
To keep things brief, the food was delicious, the saints own dark roast coffee was some of the best black coffee I've enjoyed in Johnson City, and the churos pastries were both sweet and worth the two weeks I'll have to spend running just to work off the sugar. The service was quick and lovely, (thank goodness for the lovely person at the counter warning me that I would need napkins for the pastries, she was right)And the atmosphere was just as beloved as any small home grown cafe,I can't wait to go back for a second cup!
This place purports to carry the spirit of New Orleans, and if anything, this location may do a bit better than the Asheville original. I like their drink menu, which includes a variety of non-coffee options. Their beignets can be ordered multiple ways, but the staff said the most popular option was with chocolate sauce, which won't be a surprise to the reader, nor will it be a disappointment for the eater. The fresh hot dough and thick warm sauce make for an indulgent combination. My strong matcha with just a hint of sweetness provided balance. If you're looking for a salad or something healthy, this isn't the place, but as a onetime New Orleans resident, I have to say if you dropped this place into Broadmoor, I'd go.
This is my post ride can?t miss stop. Great coffee, out if this world beignets and friendly service. Support your local business and real coffee shops!
It's my first time having a beignet sandwich. I got the caprese sandwich and requested to have some scrambled egg added on which the staff were happy to do. It was delicious!
