Fun laid back place that has really good food and doesn't cost as much as you'd think. Have eaten here a few times throughout the day and it is solid. Servers are cool vibes. The open mic comedy in the Underground was a bit... rough around the edges. Fun tho, if you keep perspective. All in all a great place. View all feedback.
What Dayna Purdy doesn't like about Broadway Grille Underground:
Potential is there for this place but missing the mark on a few details. They give you fancy cloth napkins but plastic Dixie cups. The chicken tender on the sandwich was huge maybe close to 3/4 thick and this resulted in it being hard to eat on a sandwich and a little dry. The turkey sandwich was ok but the turkey was cold. Pickles, regular and sweet potato fries were good. Hostess was not the most friendly person I'... View all feedback.
The food was good, but expensive for the menu options. Our server was friendly and polite, but the service was slow for a restaurant that was at half-capacity. Despite having made reservations, our table was not ready in time.
After a long day of bike riding, our family decided to dine at the Broadway Grill in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our server, Rose, was nothing short of spectacular. Her friendliness and attentiveness made us feel right at home. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant is quite spacious inside, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The menu was impressively varied, offering something for everyone. We each opted for the Cobb salad, and it was a delightful choice. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, it was one of the best salads we’ve ever had. To complement our meals, we enjoyed the spiked lemonade and margaritas, both of which were expertly crafted and refreshing. We’re already looking forward to our return visit for breakfast. The Broadway Grill is a must-visit when in Jim Thorpe. Highly recommend!
Pass. First time in Jim Thorpe, and we weren 't sure where to eat. Tried here and prob won 't come back. The atmosphere was kind of cool, the mocktail was yummy, and the service was great .. but the food was none of the above. The chicken sandwich was good (per daughter), but her sweet potato fries were on the cooler side. Husband 's chicken parm was ok with a mountain of pasta and buttery garlic toast. My hot roast beef au jus was awful. Roast beef was piled high but it was thick, chewy, and dry. I ended up taking all except one slice out and soaking the sandwich in the au jus. Was it leftover from dinner? Liked the bread, cheese, and onions, so I still left full. Finally, one small note if anyone from the establishment made it this far. We were not greeted with a welcome or even a hi, how many? Rather, just to let you know breakfast ended. ... umm... ok...?
I love the ambiance here. There is nostalgia here, and it's beautiful. I've been here twice. The 1st time, they were out of several things, but the food was ok. 2nd time wasn't so great. Due to a gluten allergy, my choices here are very limited. I don't eat lamb, so my only other option was a steak dinner. Of course, they were out of the steak cut on the menu. So I had to order an alternative. Unfortunately, the meat was too tough to chew. After I complained, the waitress told me that particular cut of steak is better rare. I ordered it medium well. I wish she would have shared that information with me when I ordered it. I don't typically eat steak, but it was one of the only things on the menu that was gluten-free. Had I known that particular cut was only good rare, I would not have ordered. I don't eat raw meat. However, they took care of me at the end. Please expand your gluten-free options... even offering gluten-free buns can drastically improve options for us.
We (3) ate here for lunch on a Wednesday around 1:30. Our server, Karissa D., was very friendly, polite, attentive and professional. The food was good. My son had the Elk burger, which was something he had wanted to try, and said it was good. My husband had a garden salad with chicken, which he liked. I had the Shrimp Caesar Wrap, which was ok. I liked it, but could have had more flavor. The Truffle Fries, however, were fantastic. The came with what I think was a garlic aioli dipping sauce and my son and I both loved them. I had the Guava Pina Colada mocktail and it was flavorful, but a bit over iced. It was more slushy in consistency than creamy. I had to keep clearing my straw of ice chunks. Prices were on the higher side, but that is on par with most of the other eating establishments in and around Jim Thorpe. Clean dining area and bathrooms. I did appreciate that they didn 't add a fee for using a credit card, which seems to be common all over the area. Overall, a good experience. Bonus for being located down the hill, so convenient to parking and no hike up that hill! Parking: Paid parking in municipal lot or paid street parking if you can find it. It 's very difficult to park on the street.
