Reviews - Jessup Side
Reviews summary
This restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere and friendly, devoted staff, making it a popular hangout spot for families and friends alike. Diners praise the extensive menu, especially the specialty pizzas, which many claim are among the best in the area. However, recent price increases have tempered enthusiasm, leading some to reconsider their loyalty due to fluctuating costs. While service remains prompt and pleasant, concerns over food quality—particularly with cold dishes—may impact some customers' experiences. Despite these issues, many still cherish the ambiance and tasty offerings that keep them coming back for more.

What christopher geyer dislikes about Jessup Side:
This was the worst pizza I've ever had. I went there shortly after they opened, and all the pizzas on display were from the day before. Having worked in pizzerias before, I've never seen them sell old pizza; typically, they offer it at half price in the last hour, give it to employees, or throw it away. I never really liked this place and only visited occasionally, but now I understand why their pizza tastes so bad. View all feedback.

I tried this restaurant for the first time after receiving a flyer in the mail offering a free cheese pizza. Although the pizza wasn't hot when I picked it up, it was still fairly decent. I also ordered some wings and calamari, but unfortunately, those were cold as well. Honestly, I wish I had just gotten the sides for free. The wings were mediocre, and the calamari had a rubbery texture that was quite disappointing. I might give them another chance in the future, but I wouldn’t recommend the wings or the fried calamari.
This restaurant is quite inconsistent; sometimes the food is great, but other times it falls short. The prices have increased significantly, which feels excessive for the quality offered. For instance, a chicken Caesar salad is now priced at $12.95, which I believe is too high for what it is. They also don't keep their menu updated with the latest prices. A small order of fries costs $3.95, which is laughable, especially since the fries I received were burnt. Additionally, they now charge a delivery fee. I've tried to give this place a fair shot, but when I'm consistently getting mediocre food at premium prices, it's just too much. I won’t be ordering from here again—I’m tired of spending money on subpar food!
I've been ordering from this restaurant for quite some time, and the prices used to be great, but they've recently gone up and seem to be fluctuating. What used to cost me $5 for pizza, excluding tip, is now around $20 just for the pizza! They also charge an extra $1 for delivery, which feels excessive considering the additional $6 they've added to the pizza price. Because of this, I’ll be exploring other options for my orders going forward. I only think of this restaurant when I have a strong craving and it's one of those really busy days.
My coworker and I were visiting from out of town and decided to stop by for a slice of pizza during lunchtime. We chose slices from the display case, which turned out to be a big mistake. They tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Unfortunately, my partner ended up feeling unwell after and had to use the portable restroom at the park. Lesson learned: fresh is definitely better!

This is a fantastic East Coast-style Italian pizza place. The owner and their family are very friendly. I tried a variety of items from the menu. The only reason I’m not giving it a full five stars is due to the parking situation and the walk into the restaurant.
This restaurant probably serves some of the best pizzas in the area. Everything here is delicious, and they have a fantastic selection of specialty pizzas. The Lasagne pizza is quite large and provides a satisfying meal all in one dish. The owner is always friendly and greets customers with a warm smile.
I absolutely love this place! As a New Yorker and a huge pizza enthusiast, I can confidently say that Jessup Pizza serves some fantastic pizza. I've been living in Pennsylvania for 11 years, and I haven't found any pizza that comes close to what I'm used to back home—except for Jessup Pizza. My only complaint is that they don't offer jalapeños as a topping for the pizza.
My staff and I are out of town and think of a disc. It was lunchtime and we chose discs from the display case. Big mistake. They've been like them for days. My partner unloaded in poor Porta john in the park. Maybe fresh is better.
The worse pizza I've ever had. I went a little after the opening to the pizza. The pizza they had issued was the day before. I worked at Pizzerias before and never in my life I have seen that they sell old pizza, they usually sell them half the price in the last hour, give them to the staff or throw them out. I never liked her and only went once in a while, but now I know why her pizza tastes bad.
