We had walked a few times passed this restaurant and really liked the ambience. It's a very old building and the tables and walls are decorated with beautiful tiles. The food is cheap for Jerusalem standards, we had 2 main dishes and 2 appetizers with 2 glasses of wine for 170 shekels. The food is tasty but a bit simple, which is not a bad thing. What קידר אלישיב doesn't like about Amigo Emil:
We had found this restaurant on Google a few days before, but quickly dismissed it because it was out of our budget. However, a few days later we were starving in the old city and promised each other to stop and eat at the 1st restaurant we came across, whicg happened to be Amigo Emil. The stuffed chicken chicken stuffed with cheese, served with mashed potatoes and veggies) was INCREDIBLE. It was 60 shekels $17), but... View all feedback.
We had a wonderful time, the food was really good, the home made iced tea amazing. The waiters were so nice and very welcoming. I rencommre it a lot !!! And not too touristic !! Thanks !
I found this place. You take credit card, so I ate here. Beautiful interior and great menu with signature dishes. My server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the signature fish court and it was really good. Also the mint had iced tea that was great. I'm glad I didn't go to one of the tourist places with medium-looking food. Prices are reasonable. Very happy I've eaten here on my last day. The meal and experience was unforgettable.
Fantastic meal, wonderful atmosphere and very good staff. A place you shouldn't miss.
Beautiful atmosphere in an historic stone building. Food was excellent. Prices were reasonable.
The service was great, good was really good. Even though it is in the heart of the old city it's very reasonable priced. Manager/owner came by and talked to us about the food. We got a dish that comes from Ethiopia. Not to mention they have hamburgers with yummy French fries. If you've been in the country too long and you need a break of Israeli food, they have it. They take credit cards which was good for us.
