Nestled in Journal Square, this Mediterranean eatery impresses with fresh, flavorful dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. Signature items like grilled chicken platters and falafel pitas showcase quality ingredients, though portion sizes can feel small for the price. The bread and melts earn praise, while items like fries and pita bread divide opinion. Consistency varies, with some sandwiches overly heavy on salad. Despite the delicious food, some diners note the owner's unprofessional responses to criticism, which may impact the overall experience. Ideal for quick, healthy meals, this spot offers a tasty alternative amidst typical fast food options.

Solid healthy Mediterranean food. Food was super fresh and flavorful. I know they?re famous for their bread but it?s a bit doughy of a texture so it take some getting used to. Also know if you order a pita when it ask what salad you want it?s to putinside and not a side salad I would recommend skipping it if you?re getting the gyro it took away from the great gyro flavor. The melts are super good and filled with flavor. Fries are the least fresh thing on the menu I assume frozen would skip in thefuture.

I have to say the restaurant is really good. I got the some sort of chicken platter, it came with rice, hummus, chopped salad, and I also got the pita. You should skip the pita it has a very plain taste. But the chicken was amazing, so good that I wentout of my way to add a review with pictures. This place would?ve gotten 5 stars as it?s great for a quick service eating place.HOWEVER, how the owner talks to reviewers in the comments is extremely unprofessional, petty, and really makes them unlikeable.Like your gonna call your disappointed customers names? Not cool. That?s how you talk to disappointed customers? NOT COOL. Ifyou want good food great, but just know the owner is a major JERK. I?m not sure if I?ll be coming back because I just don?t liketo do business with jerks.

I had a wonderful experience on my first visit a couple of weeks ago, when I ordered a falafel pita and was very pleased. Today, I returned and decided to try the chicken pita. Unfortunately, it was mostly filled with lettuce—about 80%—with only a few small pieces of chicken. I would recommend using just one or two layers of lettuce at the bottom to help hold the pita together, rather than overloading it. On the bright side, the quality of the ingredients remains above average, and my lettuce-filled sandwich was fresh and crunchy. However, I believe there is some room for improvement in terms of consistency.

The atmosphere is nice, but the prices are a bit high for Journal Square. Be sure to ask about your order and the portion sizes. The servings might appear large in pictures, but in reality, they are quite small. I ordered grape leaves for $5.00 and only got three. I also had a grilled chicken platter with hummus and couscous. While it tasted great, the portion was disappointingly small, leaving me still hungry afterward. I spent over $12.00 for lunch (not including a soda) and was still wanting more.
