Ample Hills Creamery - Jersey City

I've been eager to try Ample Hills Ice Cream for five years ever since I got their cookbook in the summer of 2016. We traveled all the way from Ottawa, Canada, and stopped by today in Jersey City with our three kids. We arrived at 1 PM, and although their website indicated they were open and the sign was flipped to “Open,” the door was locked, and there were no staff present. We waited for 10 minutes, but no one showed up. Sadly, we had other time-sensitive plans for our trip, so this was our only chance. I left feeling very disappointed. Still, the creamery seems enchanting and enticing to me! I can't wait for the opportunity to visit someday.

Great ice cream spot! The classic flavors are really delicious. It's $8 for a two-scoop sugar cone, which is a fair price.

The quality of ice cream here is excellent. I typically stick to the more traditional flavors they offer and have never been let down. My friends have opted for more adventurous choices, and they keep returning, which speaks volumes. However, they could improve on the organization of their store. It would be helpful to have a designated space for customers to form a proper queue, so they don’t have to wait outside in the heat due to the lack of a proper line inside. Additionally, the staff tends to be a bit slow overall.

Omg the vegan fudge flavor that I had was AMAZING!! One of the best vegan ice creams I've ever tried! Great customer service and very clean! I can't wait to go back!
