Visited Amiya often for the lunch buffet whenever I was in Jersey City. Loved the variety Masala Dosas, Samosa chat, Papdi chat, Tandoori Chicken and the Chicken Biryani. View all feedback.
What Ved U doesn't like about Amiya:
Was expecting a lot from this place as I heard from so many people about it. So I tried different things from menu. They are creative with dishes but still didn't found anything super tasty. i am vegetarian so cant say about nonveg stuffs, but veg food is pretty average here. View all feedback.
The chili chicken was good, but I was disappointed with the portion size of the Kaali Mirchi Tikka. I only received four pieces, which I think should be noted on the menu.
I had high expectations for this restaurant because I had heard so many great things about it. I decided to try several items from the menu. While I appreciated the creativity in their dishes, I didn't find anything that really stood out in terms of flavor. As a vegetarian, I can't comment on the non-vegetarian options, but I thought the vegetarian food was just average.
They only gave me 3.5 pieces of chicken, which feels like they’re being a bit stingy for the price I paid.
I made the mistake of not selecting the $2 side of rice with my entrees because I assumed rice is standard and that must be for EXTRA....it is not...don't make my mistake. Love their food though
We ordered a samosa and an Indian curry, and the flavors were well-balanced and quite delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, and the service is swift. I highly recommend this spot if you find yourself in Jersey City and have a craving for Indian food.
