We found this place on your visit to Jerez and it made our evening. The service was excellent, friendly and even speaking English to us even though we understand Spanish. It was a cool night and the warm and friendly atmosphere helped to take away the feeling of being cold. We sat inside and arrived a little before 8:30 when the place officially opens. We started with ordering our drinks while looking over the menu. For me it was clear, first a ration of croquetas de berenjenas con queso de cabra, followed by a ration of Carillada Al pedro Ximénez sobre crema de queso payoyo y patatas fritas. My wife had Setas salteadas con oloroso y salsa de soja y teriyaki. All of which was amazing, so much so that my wife also got the Carillada, but only a half ration. The portions were generous and full taste. After a slight rest we selected Brownie de chocolate y plátano con nata y leche condensada from the desserts. It made a nice finish to the meal coupled with a glass of sweet sherry. After paying the bill the guy brought over a shot of coffee liqueur. Much appreciated. Great evening visit with Pavarotti singing in the background.
