The fresh vegetable pasta and pineapple juice were delicious, and I enjoyed chatting with the owner's child as we solved riddles together. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and is run by a lovely family.

It was a small place with very eclectic decor but it was really the owners who mad... read more We stumbled upon The Gypsy Garden by chance but were so pleasantly surprised! It was a small place with very eclectic decor but it was really the owners who made us feel very welcome and made sure we had a good time. I asked if they had many vegetarian options and they explained that almost everything on the menu could be made into a vegetarian dish. I had the veggie lasagne and my partner had the mac cheese. Which were delicious and well made. We had a simple greek salad and some delicious juices too! The owner wanted to make sure we were satisfied with everything and we had many conversations on varying topics. He brought over a fan just for us to make sure we weren't too hot and even made the portion sizes bigger for us as we said we were very hungry cyclists! He was a very friendly man and his wife was lovely too. They really made it a special experience. I'm sure if you are vegan, they would happily make some specialised food for you. We would highly recommend visiting this place if you are in the area!

The decor is unique and quirky, which we thoroughly enjoyed as it was unlike anything we had seen while traveling in Malaysia. The food was delicious, and we were happy to see that they also cater to vegetarians and vegans, which was a big bonus for us as we follow a vegetarian diet.

Even though there were no vegan options on the menu, they were able to accommodate our request without any issue. We enjoyed a delicious pasta dish with fresh vegetables, which was a refreshing change after our time in the national park. If you find yourself in Jerantut, definitely give this restaurant a try.
