Until now, the vegan only places in Jeonju have been quite far from the city center, but not any more! This great place is located right next to the main shopping center and is near Hanok Village! The owner, EunJi, started making vegan food after realizing she had an allergy. Now, her goal is to blur the line between healthy and unhealthy by making vegan food that doesn't taste like vegan food. Her burgers are so tasty and loaded with yummy sauce, but also feature a lot of fresh veg like lettuce, tomato and onion. I love the spinach smoothie a lot, and though it looks super green it tastes sweet. Don't worry if you decide to do takeout! She doesn't use regular plastic, but a biodegradable one made from corn! Her desserts are not to be missed. Her cake is light and fluffy and the icing is so good I practically licked the plate. Last but not least, the owner EunJi is so sweet and speaks English very well. Her kind mother always cheerfully says hello in the background, and the English books and music in the cafe can almost make your forget you're in Korea, until you notice the antique dresser holding the water. It's an incredible restaurant and one I'll visit a lot!
I was in a hurry and had to go to a burger and chickpea sandwich so I only admire the decoration and chat with the owner for a few minutes. the sandwiches were absolutely delicious, in oily, diner style. they were served on brot instead of rolls, but the brot was thick and tasty, and perfectly held together. they seem to use a lot of vegan butter that I'm not very used to, but I really enjoyed having something as different as what I usually cook. I move from gwangju closer to jeonju, and I am really surprised by the much better vegan decisions in this smaller city. I will make the trip regularly to plantica!

I tried the bulgogi sandwich and a chocolate strawberry cake at this restaurant, and both were absolutely delicious! The interior design is charming and modern, and the owner, who speaks English fluently, is very friendly. I definitely plan on returning in the future!
