Yama Sushi Izakaya - Jennings Lodge

I absolutely love this spot. The vibe, the food, the staff… all an absolutely wonderful experience. This is by far my fav sushi spot in PDX.

2:09 on Saturday afternoon, place was hopping, hostess said we can only order takeout. Back to reliable Maru.

Overpriced and quality of yellow tail questionable. Three. small. single pieces of nigari, seaweed salad, and hot tea, $24.00. If I would have doubled the order of sushi, which most people do, it would have cost me $39.00, for lunch. Plus, the flesh of the fish layers were starting to separate. A sign of fish not as fresh. As an ex fish buyer, would not recommend.

The food was great but the service was so bad I can't recommend this place. It was one of the worst dine-in experiences I've had in a long time. The person at the front didn't notice we were waiting. Great birthday dinner. This is the place my son and I go for sushi. Everything is delicious.
