Had the tinned fish and glasses of wine. Tinned fish was amazing. Crisp crostini that you coat with their fantastic butter, then add some tinned fish (maybe crush and spread) then top it off with some pickled onions to give it a zing. It all blended beautifully. View all feedback.
What Abby S doesn't like about Rotigo:
This place was fine. We came here for lunch and tried the tarragon chicken salad and it was just not what I was expecting. If you are ordering this, known it is chicken salad with side lettuce to make lettuce wraps not salad with chicken on top. They also had a variety of wine options, I'd probably return for a happy hour to try a drink with a different food option. View all feedback.
The Spicy Farmer sandwich I had here was fantastic (the fennel!! It was so well done and the spiced cheese! YUM! , and I thought so at the time, but it’s been a couple weeks now and I cannot stop thinking about it. Also had a Naked and Famous cocktail, and it’s the best cocktail I’ve had in a few. Can’t wait to come back for lunch again. Highly recommend!
You go to the place next door when the place you have your heart set on is closed. Rotigo was amazing. Some perfect Sunday afternoon dining. You go for the rotisserie chicken but you end up with a whole lot more!
This review is just for the drinks 10/10, their cocktail hot girl summer was delicious and a great way to beat this summer heat. The bar counter is clean and very aesthetically pleasing. The bartender on the evening of august 16th, I wish I got her name, was super attentive and sweet. I didn 't get a chance to try their food seeing as I had reservations at another restaurant, but our pre dinner drinks were to die for.
Wanted to really like this place, but it just fell short for me. The concept is brilliant rotisserie chicken prepared a multitude of ways. Husband and I went on a Thursday at lunch and were seated in the sidewalk seating area. I ordered the tarragon chicken salad lettuce cups. Initially when it arrived, I was a little disappointed by the presentation (scoop of chix salad, 3 pcs lettuce, and a few red onions), but ultimately I was disappointed by the lack of complexity of the chicken salad. The menu says that it is flavored with whole grain mustard, fresh fennel, chives and tarragon. I struggled to taste any of those ingredients, and any subtle flavors were overpowered by a highly unnecessary dousing of smoky paprika on top. Husband opted for the quarter rotisserie chicken with chili garlic aioli. Sadly, he too was disappointed, as the chicken, their specialty, was tough and dry. It was not juicy and flavorful as a brined, slow cooked rotisserie chicken should be. And again, the presentation could be improved upon chicken on a plate. The highlight of the meal for both of us was the sauteed Tuscan kale/spinach side dish. In fact, it inspired us to go to the farmer's market to buy some Tuscan kale and recreate the dish at home. Unfortunately, I don't think we will return to Rotigo. It's is too bad because the concept seems so brilliant, but the execution is just not there.
I have had the Provencal sandwich twice this week. Who knew a chicken sandwich could be so damn delicious? Their fries are also top notch. The atmosphere is open and inviting and the service was wonderful. My only note: my husband does not like mayo and mayo was not included in the description for the sandwiches, so we didn't know to ask for no mayo. That being said, that's such a tiny detail, it's not going to stop us from coming back!I have yet to try the cocktails, but they look delicious!
