What Thomas Reiche doesn't like about Portlander Inn Marketplace:
Large, clean, nice room. Good wifi. Breakfast is huge but unfortunately no buffet. A bit noisy during the night because of running trucks/running refrigeration units on the parking lot next to the hotel. View all feedback.
Started coming through in 1995 not much changed except for the prices of course I was team driven with old bill Haynes with H.l stansell we would make our last drop in Vancouver b.c. and roll into jubitz and stay the night in the motel visit the bar and eat have a few drinks and cruise out the next morning haven't been in the area since 95 and was able to do so 3 years ago lots of upgrades and all however the old trucker rooms as I called them still have the old school feel and looks I love it maybe one day soon I can revisit and enjoy a night or few thank you for the hospitality and great memories and keeping the place real
Just to be clear: Yes, this is basically attached to a truck stop, but please don't let that be a reason to overlook this hotel. I never noticed any noise from it, even with a room window facing the pumps. The front-desk staff were incredibly friendly and on the ball. Even though we shuffled in well after midnight. The room was /very/ clean. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels with rooms that weren't as clean as this one. I don't know what they're doing differently, maybe actually paying their staff a proper wage or something...but whatever it is, it's working! Room was recently renovated, beds were comfortable, TV was a good size, there was a fridge and microwave in our room... it worked out quite well for us. Having a 24 hour grocery store attached was certainly handy as well. The only thing I can say against it, is not something within the Portlander's control. It's a rather industrial area, as one might expect. There's not much around it. A car is definitely needed to get anywhere. However, you can get into Portland proper very easily on the 5 or 99E.
The hotel was not that good as I thought it would be the elevator broke and I had a room on the 4th floor and my father who was with me was disabled so he had to walk up and down four flights of stairs so I highly recommend anybody that's disabled do not stay at this hotel it is not reliable for the disabled.

Excellent staff. Wonderful clean room. Great bed, cotton sheets. Complimentary sit down breakfast.
