Pollo Norte - Jennings Lodge

Had high hopes for Pollo Norte based on the reviews. Got carry out on a Friday night. I was underwhelmed. I wouldn’t say anything was bad, but I wouldn’t make it a priority to go back (although the patio looks like a nice place for a dinner in the summer). Our chicken breast was pretty dry and so were the tortillas. The salsa, beans, rice were all so so. Maybe the food is better fresh when you eat it there.

The chicken was pretty good. The coleslaw, should be removed from the menu. Slaw was flavorless and not pleasant to look at. The chicken, cabbage beans (after being reheated) were ok, but the coleslaw seemed extremely out of place compared to the quality of the other items. Service was poor, server/cashier seemed as if he didn't want to be bothered.

Went here for wings wing and than came back 1 week later since they had pozole as their special. I'm a pozole lover and this one was good! What seperates it from others in town is their wonderfully pan fried fresh tortillas they serve with it. Wings were top notch! hope to see the same again next year.

If you like rotisserie chicken in whole, half or quarter quantities and you like Mexican food, then you really should check out Pollo Norte. Very tasty, little spendy, lovely location with an incredible patio for the warmer northwest days. Oh yeah, they make everything fresh, from their salads to salsas.
