Best taco place in Portland! I’ve been eating tacos at this place for the past 4/5 years and I have no regrets. I can eat their food every day of the week and not get sick of it. Since I’ve found this place I’ve only eaten at other taco joints a handful of times but I was never satisfied like I am here at Las Palomas. I dream about these tacos and the spicy orange salsa! Their salsa was what hooked me from the beginn... View all feedback.
What Jenna P doesn't like about Las Palomas Taquería:
Food is fine but are terrible at meeting requests to remove ingredients. I’ve had several orders I couldn’t eat because they didn’t bother to listen to what I asked for Edit to respond: I always ask for no onions whenever I order and it's been about 50/50 whether onions are there or not. They make me physically sick and I cannot eat the burrito at all if they are there. View all feedback.
Don't order the Carne Ranchero! There won't be any left for me,!
I do not know if this truck is related to other Portland Palomas entries, or if it is an additional entry or, perhaps, moved here from somewhere else. Regardless, I'm happy that this particular truck is in this particular neighborhood. It has definitely slipped over the last year but the food is still better than average. The guy is unhelpful and aloof. Don't wait for him to call your number because he only calls them once in a while when he feels like it, then gives you attitude like you're the one being unreasonable.
Stopped by this evening only because our regular spot was closed, and so glad that happened! My husband got a vegetarian torta and I got a vegan fajita burrito and it was by a long shot the best burrito I've had in Portland. I don't know what the torta tasted like because neither of us wanted to share a bite with the other…going to have to go back tomorrow!
Highly recommended. We got about 10 tacos (try the Buche…mmm mmm good) and we also got the Carne Ranchera. Wow. Perfectly done. The guy working was busting things out too. There was quite a line in front of us and he got everything out in great time. Gave us some good tips on the importance of adding the lime to the Ranchera and hooked us up with a solid amount of the REALLY TASTY hot sauce. We used it all! haha. We'll be back for sure.
