This is like legit the best shaved ice I've had thats not in Hawaii. I ordered the strawberry anko mochi shaved ice. It was such good flavor combo and the mochi is really soft and chewy. As for the shaved ice itself, it was actually really fine and good, almost on par with Hawaii shaved ice. What Jay T doesn't like about Courier Coffee:
I had the ginger and milk and it was amazing. Came back to get it again two days later and it barely had any flavor. Not sure what happened between Saturday and Monday. edit with more detail: Thank you for your response. This was last weekend, the 3rd and 5th that I visited. They have VERY GOOD kakigori (Japanese shaved ice)! As if their excellent coffee selection wasn’t enough. And incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can’t recommend enough.

Over 5 stars. Great coffee, great service, great kakigori (Japanese shaved iced).
Best coffee in pdx. by a mile. come here for an espresso based drink and stay for the shave ice by soen, which is only open weekends.
