Bottle Kitchen has creative cocktails and an all-American classic menu in the heart of Downtown Portland. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite colorful. Prices for a meal are pretty reasonable. Service was fine and they have great chefs. View all feedback.
What Emily Pirie doesn't like about Bottle Kitchen:
Waiter was amazing, but my friends and I were disappointed about the food. My two friends got the gnocchi and I got a burger— friends left still hungry. Burger was filling, but the quality wasn’t worth the $20. The menu we were given was also very different than the dinner menu that is displayed online. It was pricier than anticipated and just wasn’t worth the money. Cocktails were fun though, and again the waiter wa... View all feedback.
We knew upon entering, we probably should’ve just left, but had never been so we wanted to try it. Zero service had to flag someone down from the bar area. Two people that were being so loud and drunk really ruined the ambience. We ordered iced tea, and it came in the tiniest glass with no ice and tasted like dirty water. Ordered the Alfredo which came with the hardest chunks of carrots and cauliflower I have ever seen. They were basically raw just covered in sauce. There was 75 pounds of sauce and four noodles. It was not warm at all. We also got the hanger steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We got a very rubbery piece of meat with zero flavor. Mashed potatoes were OK. And broccoli. we basically had about three bites of each plate and I went up to Pay. No one asked us anything no one bothered with us. Definitely won’t return. I truly don’t understand the reviews online. I really really don’t.
I was there on a quiet Sunday morning, was seated immediately and attended to quickly. The coffee was so-so as was my breakfast, but the place was cozy and I sat near the fireplace.
Server was nice enough trying his best but I arrived a little early to my scheduled reservation time. they showed me to a reservation that was not my group. then they didn’t even have the reservation I booked. my group waited over 30 minutes for our table which we were told the manager was setting up for us, while we watched the restaurant fill up around us… after about 20 min the manager approached asking us what we were waiting for then acted surprised when I said we were waiting on our reserved table for 8 (I had already talked to the server about this). eventually we did sit down but waited another 15+ minutes for service only to find out we couldn’t even eat there because there was no bar service. most of our group had come solely for a boozy brunch, only a few of us were eating. it was a very disappointing experience, reserve at your own risk.
Yummy food, great service. They gave me free cake for my birthday!
Service was great. Drinks were great. Food was 50/50. Nachos were on point. BLTA had no Mayo or spread so a bit dry and chicken street tacos were so plain, but fries and spicy chicken salad was good.
