The chicken souvlaki was phenomenal. The herbs used on the hummus and the Greek fries were the freshest and most flavorful I have ever had. This is food for the soul. View all feedback.
What Nabil Nabhan doesn't like about Bluto's:
I been there with my wife for lunch, looked at the menu, prices are too much. Pita bread is 3 for little piece. The place looked cuzy and the food seemed delicious but it was over my budget. So we went and had lunch At the street carts View all feedback.
Loved the pita, hummus and corn soup but the stone fruit salad was probably the best salad i have ever had! So inventive and delicious
I was waiting for a friend who was ten minutes out. I sat down at one of the many open tables. The cashier gingerly told me I would need to order first if I wanted to sit, I explained I was waiting for someone they’re just a few minutes out, and she kindly asked me to wait outside. Friend arrives, I take a look at the menu…”do these items come with anything?” I said. “No it’s a la carte” Small plate of chicken on a skewer $8 Plate of Hummus $10 A single small pancake size pita $3 Mexican Sprite $4 $25. Then they ask for a tip. Tip culture pressure they watch you do it. Now we’re at $30… Rude service, slaps my food down on the table. Makes me wait outside like a dog lol Why am I tipping??? Fair wages or something??? In this specific case, I’m having a difficult time remembering. Grossly overpriced, very small portions, piss poor service. Won’t be returning.

The food tasted really good and the service was fast. The trick all these medium-high end Mediterranean spots seem to employ is to sell 3 pitas worth of hummus with only 1 tiny piece of bread, so you buy the extra pita. So just know that if you order a spread, you’re gonna want more bread!
The menu is impossible to navigate as an individual unless you want pork chops and fries . I attempted to construct a satisfactory vegetarian meal by ordering the veggie skewer and 2x bread à $16 . Nicely roaster but under seasoned where 's the garlic? , crammed on a tiny enamel tray with even smaller sharing plates available. Halfway thru my meal I was offered sauce out of pity?!? that made it feel slightly more coherent. I have never felt this alienated dining out. No choices that are meals in themselves, no satisfactorily sized plates to make eating not a puzzle and mess. With menu items grouped as Stuff you 'd think you might be able to piece together a meal at or under $20 without feeling like a loner just by trying to eat. Service was friendly and the ambience is pleasant but it 's not worth the hassle unless you bring friends!!
