Bantam Tavern - Jennings Lodge

Great little gem of a place. My husband and I came in late on our anniversary and found kind staff, a relaxed vibe, great drinks, and STELLAR food. We ordered the fried cauliflower (perfectly balanced with capers) and the potato gnocchi and grilled chicken: I had never had chicken that fell apart like that before. Perfectly balanced flavors and textures. We'll definitely be back. Oh, and those fireplaces are rad as well.

The service was your typical Portland experience where they seem annoyed that you are even there. The mezcal margarita was absolutely perfect. We went there for the pickle back flight but it was not at all enjoyed by the person in our party who enjoys them the most. The spiced butternut squash and the smoked beet salad were phenomenal! On the top of my list for best Portland salad! You cannot go without getting the delicata side. Delicious!!

Great Gastro-pub. I always have great food and drinks. Try the Brutus salad with steak or the vintage burger. You won’t be disappointed. Cool, upscale casual environment. Great service. I love this place.
